Some of the best radio shows are not those by a programming managers, or whoever, but independent shows, such as Dick Bartley's numerous, syndicated shows as well as other dedicated collectors shows. For example, I went on WOGL's (local station) website to see what DJ had a particular show that seemed above the rest. Guess what, not mentioned, I don't think, and it's probably syndicated. To me, one "oldies" station sounds like the next, most of the time. Most stations don't even know where to look for the rare, great tunes. This is why I feel a dedicated Record or CD collector stands a better chance of putting on a great oldies show, rather than a mediocre one.
