You're probably correct about CBS. Guess the program manager didn't want to admit it. While certainly not a bad playlist, lots of redundancy, especially with black artists of the '70's. In one of those radio station surveys, they came in 4th, in Philly. A WBEB-101.1 FM, came in 1st place. I THINK they're the ones who state "We play anything we want". I recall my sister mentioning this station (with an oldie I missed) and I recall hearing "Groovy Situation", by Gene Chandler. That was a welcome song here! Yes, Mr. Warren is correct. Don't know much about him, but he seems a laid-back DJ (these days), no frills. Enjoyable to listen to. I continue to get my foot in the door at these local stations, with my ideas and collection. The one NJ station claimed they have the largest oldies library, I think, in NJ.
