Last Edited: Thursday, 17 May 2007, 7:38 AM EDT Caroline Wiren TAMPA – The head coach of the University of South Florida dance team lost her life Wednesday as she tried to bring another one into the world. Caroline Wiren, 34, died from complications she experienced during childbirth. She was head coach of the USF SunDolls dance team, as well as the wife of Tampa Bay Storm linebacker Nyle Wiren. She also coached the Storm Cheerleaders for two years. This season marked Wiren's fourth year of coaching the USF squad, and prior to that she spent several years as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader. Prior to making the move to Florida, she attended the University of Mississippi. Doctors say Wiren's 9-pound, 3-ounce baby boy survived the birth. He is the Wirens' only child. Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet. |
