Bob, I gather radio, especially oldies stations, doesn't look for seasoned DJs. Any ol' Joe will do. Those seasoned DJs who still do participate in at oldies stations, I guess, even though they might not agree with what the Corporation may dictate what to play, they're thankful to still have a job. Like, Jerry Blavat (carried by WVLT (NJ). I admire what he did for radio and groups, but his DJ skills seem bland, at best, these days (others agree). He talks too much and sings too much. However, once in a great moon, he may play a decent oldie, like Tony Mason's "(We're Gonna Bring The) Country To The City" (can't find that RCA record ANYWHERE on CD!). I complemented WOGL (Philly) on a show they do, but could find the name of the DJ listed on their site. The DJ seemed to know his "stuff". I later find it's a syndicated show. Reminded me of a Dick Bartley show. Talking about Dick, I discovered he still does a show on NBC's radio networks, on Saturday nights. If you or anyone else has a direct or indirect way to contact him, I'd love to know. His site doesn't mention anything. Jersey John
