Message Detail:
It's sad trying to sell my idea for an oldies radio show, to a Philadelphia based "oldies" radio station, controlled by CBS. I'm told they dropped the '50's material, for the sake of keeping their advertisers happy. They must offer free cruise contests, to those who do listen. Obviously, the music they play doesn't cut it, alone. I assume their advertisers are of the younger generation - the Rap and Hip-Hop variety minded. However, that does not explain why they neglect the Philly artists of the '60's, the foundation that put Philadelphia on the map of music. So, heck with them, I'll see what NBC Radio Networks have to say! :-)
