'Mississippi' is in the library of the streaming audio and comes up for airplay every now and then. I hadn't heard the song in years until I included it in a countdown (Will's recall is 'right on') and then we added the song in the streaming audio playlist. We are playing the 3:37 version. Don't know if there is any other. It's chart history is reminiscent of a song with spotty distribution and airplay. Some markets were exposed to the song, some weren't. Whenever you look at a song's history and see that it was in the Hot 100 for 10 or more weeks but barely cracked the Top 30...its durability in spite of 'stiffing' is usually for the reasons outlined above.
