Jeff,

You tug at my heart strings too with the BREAD tune but I too got one of my first shear effects albeit from a very unlikely group for such stimulus.

The ROLLING STONES of all groups came up with one prior to the one in 1970 that got me. It was, incidentally, the first song ever penned by Jagger & Richards. It was recorded on October 26, 1965 The name?
