Rob,

You're right about the Christians who have been married three, four times. I'm one of them. I have married three times since I became a Christian. I sinned every time I divorced. I've asked forgiveness of breaking my vows (although I did what I could do to 'save' the marriages).

I have been forgiven...but I still deal with the consequences of those sins.

One who is an 'adulterer' is one who PRACTICES a lifestyle of going from one woman to another, or living with a woman who is not his wife, or fornicates and/or lusts in his heart continually and has no conviction or conscience about doing so. This I do not do...because the Lord has finally showed me how many blessings I have lost due to my disobedience. However, I have peace because I am FINALLY allowing Christ to make me into the kind of man He wants me to be.

If not for the grace of God, I'd be in a worse predicament. Any good I do, HE gets the credit. Apart from Him, I am a wretched man.

You didn't ask me to lay out my laundry, but I do it because I want you to see that Christians need Christ not because we're 'good'...but because we're sinners.

Paul, Peter, David, Moses, Abraham...every single one in scripture (save Jesus) was a sinner. In fact, their sins are laid out for history to see and have been for several milleniums.

Yet...they are with the Lord...and the Lord used them. Why?

Because in their heart, they humbled themselves before the Lord, admitted their sin, and God forgave them.

Now Rob...what do YOU believe? It appears that your point is that because Christians sin, blow it, and make mistakes...this gives you a pass because YOU at least don't pertain to be an 'authority' on morality.

Yet, you actually are.

What you are saying is that Christians are hypocrites. Rob, if sinners who have accepted Christ are disciplined for their sins by the Lord...then what makes you think that you will escape your consequences for using the sins of believers to justify your disbelief?

Jesus loves you and wants you to deal with Him 1 on 1. Instead of taking potshots at folks who love Him and want to proclaim His love and goodness...why don't you seek Him yourself?

Let Him who is without sin, cast the first stone.

Remember..Christ did not come to save the 'well', but the 'sick'.

The person who puts his trust in Christ is a wise man indeed, because no one can save his or herself from hell.

We're ALL guilty, Rob. Using the 'hypocrite' excuse won't wash when it's your life he'll examine.

Thanks for writing...I sincerely appreciate your comments.

Bob
