The only hit I recall him having was "Old Rivers", you know - the one about the faifhful old mule that died etc etc. But you have me at a disadvantage because television only came to Ireland in 1961, and I do not think we ever got to see The Real McCoys. Accordingly I only knew Walter Brennan from the big screen and from that one record. The first time I remember seeing him on the small screen was in 1964, when he was on the news campaigning for Barry Goldwater. "Have a great week weekend, Jim!" And you also. The weather here in Ireland for the last couple of weeks is unseasonably warm. Global warming I presume. There's a song title in there somewhere.
