Thanks John, for your comments. They're always welcome here, pro or con. Yes this is a radio forum, but radio is a part of life, and life comes from the Lord. Some folks are uncomfortable with or would prefer to ignore altogether the issue of 'religion'. But with eternity just a breath away for all of us, that is a very unwise thing to do. I understand that it's easier for many to take the path of least resistance and avoid the subject altogether. However...the Lord says that it is appointed unto man to die, and then the judgment. We have a choice. A free will. We can either run from Him and His word...and deal with the horrible consequences of that decision in eternity...or face it square up while we still live on this earth. Eternal separation from God or eternal life. The Bible tells us that if we place our trust in Him, we will not be disappointed. Jesus says 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but through Me' (John 14:6). As far as the stress on schools is concerned, if anyone takes time to examine what's happening in the schools they'll discover that every other religion IS accepted, and every other 'movement' or 'lifestyle' IS embraced EXCEPT for Jesus Christ. That's because all 'religions' foster a belief in 'one's good works'...or freedom to gratify self without accountability...while Christ says that belief in Him and Him alone as God the Son is the only way to heaven. You and I and every other person are sinners. We fall short of His standards and no amount of good deeds or works can save us. 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God'. So bringing it full circle...Jesus loves you, John. He knows your heart, knows your innermost needs and He wants to fulfill His excellent plan for your life. He died for you, man. And that is what the posting that started this thread is all about. Best, Bob
