Will, I'm sorry for your problems. I do not do a real player version of the show at all as Real Player, properly configured, will play mp3 and wav files. The ra or rm extensions will not work with my shows as they are encoded as high bit rate mp3s, so Windows Media Player, which every computer running windows has on it usually works fine to listen. I recommend the latest version of Windows Media Player which is I think Version 11 and is designed to run with the XP op system.

Downloading my shows can be time consuming as most are greater than 45mbs in size. A dial up modem would require
4 hrs 15 min to download it. A dial up modem would need about 15-20 minutes to buffer enough to even start playing. Every now and then I do a show encoded at 32kbps which is suitable for dial up, but mostly I produce shows at 64kbps to maintain better sound quality.

Coming up soon will be a doo wop special in four parts.
These shows are encoded at 96kbps. Because sound quality does matter. Its those little nuances in music that make it special and to hear them one needs high bit rates. I care too much about the music to present it sounding less than as good as I can make it sound.

And soon, we will be doing some very early rock from the days when I started back in San Antonio and a very special man will be featured on that show and you will be
surprised to learn that he was from San Antonio and played guitar on my first record, its Sir Douglas himself.

Let me know if you figure out a way that works for you to listen. John made some excellent suggestions to aid you.
