Subject: RE: Jimmy Dee Show

Message Detail:
Actually, Bill, I have WinAmp as the default player, but it chokes badly on those .wav file shows. The first time I tried listening to one of these shows, Apple's QuickTime player started downloading the file. I had to wait forever, just to hear a peep. After it was finished, I still couldn't play it, it ended up with a broken QuickTime logo. Frustrating. That's when I started experimenting with the link URL in both Media Play and WinAmp. Again, if the player is decent, you shouldn't have to wait for the entire show to download, before listening. It should buffer itself, and take only what it needs to keep the sound constant. Like, Jimmy's recent show, I just popped the URL link in and there was Jimmy! I'm sure Real Player has a (immediate) Play URL option. I see none in Version 11. It will, however, download the file and play it later.
