I've been listening to Ultimate Oldies Radio since July 2005. I'll admit, I don't listen 24/7. I can't listen at work because the Powers That Be have blocked a lot of stuff, including Ultimate Oldies Radio, from our computers. I sometimes have it on in the evenings, and on weekends. If I go out, I leave the computer on and Ultimate Oldies playing. When the stream is down, I miss it very much, because I love the music Bob plays. But do I get on the Message Baord and whine? No. I know Bob already knows, and is doing everything he can to solve the problem. However, I also realize something, and it would be nice if some other folks would realize it, too; BOB HAS A PERSONAL LIFE!!!!! What he does here is a labor of love. He doesn't have to, but he wants to share his love of the music with those of us who also love this music. BUT, he has a wife, and no matter how understanding and supportive she is, she wants to spend time with her husband. He also has a family; a mother, sisters, and a brother. Family issues arise, AND THEY COME FIRST! Isn't that the way it is in REAL LIFE? Bob is a lot more aware of what is happening with Ultimate Oldies Radio than you think. It doesn't run itself. A lot of things that are happening with Ultimate Oldies Radio, Bob wanted to happen a long time ago; but it took a lot of time and effort on Bob and Jimmy's parts to make them happen. I know I don't say it enough, but thanks, guys! There is a saying, "Put up or shut up!" If you haven't contributed one dollar towards the cost of operating Ultimate Oldies Radio, you really haven't any right to complain about how things are run. I'll bet if Bob did implement a monthly fee to listen, you still wouldn't put out. I know one thing, the number of listeners would decrease dramatically, because either people wouldn't want to pay to hear the stream, or couldn't afford to. So get over yourselves and get a life. Be glad that we've got Ultimate Oldies Radio. I am. |
