Message Detail:
Dear Mr. Mathers:
Your replies to my initial inquiry of 6/11/2020 and then my October addition (re: Union warning messaging involving Gen.Lee's forces entering VA in 9/1862) are most welcome!
In fact, you've helped me near the solution of a puzzle about some fine Net-linked persons who've sent correspondence offering competing ideas about Signal Corps or B&O telegraphy connections to Harper's Ferry in 1862. Presuming that your organization's reenactment efforts were publicized in newspaper print and the Web, I'm now thinking the following. Could the certain existence of a Corps' post being present at Harper's Ferry by 1864 be what the correspondents had thought was accurate for 9/1862? None of the three persons had recalled specific sources.
By the way, I had tried to contact you directly via Mr. Woodcock's very timely, initial notice of your response to me. However, I couldn't seem to make the connection. If you so choose, please inform me if you have had a Net address change.
Happy Autumn,
Fred Wrixon
