Message Detail:
Dear Association Persons, After some very fine help with my initial inquiry (primarily regarding accurate Union alert messaging), I have been finding some additional factors for your generous clarification. One involves a historical marker near Sugarloaf Mt., MD. It describes a Wigwag warning going west from Sugarloaf, to Point of Rocks, and then Harper's Ferry, VA. Familiar with general Civil War-linked history, I had never heard of a Signal tower or ground unit at the latter. Two Net acquaintances have proposed B&O-based telegraphy from Point of Rocks. But I've also thought that a J.E.B. Stuart, or similar raid, had destroyed the rail bridge/telegraph wire supports near H.F. earlier in 1862. Thus, I'm sending this new inquiry. Thank You again for your consideration!
