| This is a Good Example of why teaching "Too Many" enough to make them dangerous with regard to signals. Without a signalman present or the pre-concerted signal "Hat Drop or Flag" being set-up in advance, then trying to signal in hopes the message being sent would be understood correctly by someone arbitrarily, is a recipe for disaster! And an inadvertent misunderstanding of what the signal woulda-shoulda meant, would place the blame solely on the Signal Corps- and should be avoided. |
