Subject: RE: Making Sense of Re-created Events With Compasses

Message Detail:
What profession would say "20 degrees west [of north]," rather than "on an azimuth [or bearing] of 265 degrees"?
I'm really getting curious now.

Joe, Curtis House is sig sta No. 7 on map, p. 426 of Brown, and ref'd on pp. 428 and 429, altho not in index. You can find it in the OR Atlas, Plate LXV (1), just south of Farrer's Island, the island in the James cut by Dutch Gap. It would have been viewing/intcpting sig stas of Milligan's Ind. Sig Corps (ISC).
