Hi Dave,
That is very interesting. If my memory serves me correctly, the wire we were using in 1951-52 was WD-110 and was twisted pair for phones. Again, my memory tells me it was four steel and three copper strands each side. When we spliced it, we used seizing wire down the center to make the splice more secure. Is the manufacturer known and also, how was it insulated? Gutta percha or vulcanized rubber? Thanks for info.
