Message Detail:
I was thinking of putting one together. The Fort I work out of (in it's present configuration) spanned the period from 1846-1945... It was definately in use during the Span/Am period protecting Portsmouth Harbor. They had a balloon down in Cuba... while helpfull, it drew a ton of fire on men who were unfortunately deployed under it in the woods. There's a lot of good stuff out there on the service. They used Heliograph quite a lot as well. My question is which trim color would they use? Was it Orange by the Span/Am time period?
