Message Detail:
I just got back from an event, neither our signals nor radios were used, needless to say it turned into a huge, huge, mess, it was barely recognizable as a reenactment of saylors creek. We sat by a tree and watched as confusion that could have been correwcted had they employed us using even a simple preconcerted code we have developed.
one major difference between me and most other signal reenactors is that I serve mainly at progressive/hardcore events. It seems some of the progressive commanders are even less likely to want to employ signals. at any rate, the artillery do always employ us to send them info on where the battle actually is, i.e. if they have a target, or if it would appear as if they were firing at nothing, and therefore not worth wasting powder, and also if the infantry are a safe distance away.
