Message Detail:
ERIC,
I THINK HE WAS PRETTY COOL ALSO. HE LEARNED MYER'S CODE IN ONE MORNING WHILE WORKING WITH HIM SIGNALING BETWEEN SANDY HOOK AND FT. HAMILTON. HE ALSO, IN MY VIEW WAS THE HERO OF 1ST MANASSAS/BULL RUN AND SAVED THE DAY FOR CSA WITH HIS MSG TO BEAUREGARD. HE ALSO WAS INVOLVED BRIEFLY WITH THE CSA BALLOON "GAZELLE" AND MY VIEW IS THAT HE WAS QUITE INOVATIVE AND CLEVER. I HAVE HIS BOOK BUT HAVE NOT READ IT BECAUSE OF OTHER THINGS I AM RESEARCHING AT THIS TIME, BUT WILL READ IT. AGAIN, I WOULD NOT WANT TO HAVE FACED THIS MAN ACROSS THE FIELD UNLESS I WAS WELL PREPARED.
