Message Detail:
ON THE SUBJECT OF AAA, I MUSED WHEN I READ YOUR COMMENT ABOUT BEAUREGARD'S ATTTEMPT AT IT. IN EXPLORING THE MATTER OF THE USE OF BALLOONS FOR RECON,ETC., IT WAS NOTED THAT THE CSA AT WILLIAMSBURG DID JUST THAT AND ALSO PLACED AN UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF POWDER IN THE PIECE TRYING TO SHOOT DOWN OLD THADDEUS SOBIESKI CONSTANTINE LOWE. IN DOING SO, THE GUN IS ALLEGED TO HAVE BEEN BLOWN TO SMITHEREENS, KILLED TWO OF THE CREW AND WOUNDED SEVERAL OTHERS NEARBY. THEY APPARENTLY HATED BEING OBSERVED FROM ABOVE. E.P. ALEXANDER IS ALSO SAID TO HAVE FIRED AT LOWE DURING HIS EARLIEST ASCENTS NEAR WASHINGTON.
