Subject: The Bay at War

Message Detail:
I am currently working with the Steamboat Era Museum in Irvington, VA on an exhibit scheduled for next year called The Bay at War. It will focus on the Chesapeake Bay during the Civil War. A part of our exhibit will focus on ways inwhich the gun boats communicated with each other and to persons on shore. I am also interested in getting information about the use of the telegraph by both the Union and Confederate forces around the Chesapeak Bay area. Please feel free to contact me for more clarity. Thank you - Grayson Mattingly
