Subject: Just posting a few pics from last weekend.......
We went to the annual reenactment at Fort Pocahontas on the James River between Williamsburg (Jamestown) and Richmond. |
GREAT battle scenerios albeit a few less people then we'd like to have had.
LOTS of Confederate Cavalry tho!
Anyway - there was a 'new' (to the art) wet plate photographer there offering his services for quite a good price. He was doing this to practice the art (and being a photographer myself - wetplate photography IS an art!)
Here are scans of a few pics that he took of us this weekend. (digital adjustments noted)
My OLDEST Son Philip
This was cropped to bring him more into the center of the picture. I also burned in quite a few places because it was way too light.
My YOUNGEST Son John-john
And the THREE of us
Comments invited and appreciated (as always)
