Subject: Account seen by Myer

Message Detail:
I have run across a rather puzzaling quote reguarding Myer. It comes from Fighting for the Confederacy the Personal Recollections of General Edward Porter Alexander, Edited by Gary W. Gallagher. "Years after, when he had become a surgeon in the army & was sataioned in Texas, he saw an account of a system of military signals devised by a Frenchman, who it was said could play on a violin & convey messages to his wife in another room."(p14) If anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jennifer
