You can still get antique glasses out here on the left coast at reasonable prices from antique shops. I guess they haven't risen to "coveted collection" status yet, unlike other period items, ie, telegraph keys and sounders which are collected by ham radio operators (present company included) and have increased dramatically in price over the last decade or so. My problem is finding an optician willing to do the lenses. The Lenscrafters and Frame&Lens guys have priced the smaller makers out of business.
