Subject: RE: After Action Report SCARD in Northern California

Message Detail:
Tks for sharing that report, Ken. Was just reading last night in Brown about Capt. Castle's sig men having de-camped earlier thru misunderstanding of instructions, and his having fashioned a pole (one of Walt's saplings, no doubt) and used a bedsheet for a flag. [They had sheets?!] So you were in good company with your improvising on the spot. Remember you're sworn not to divulge, so you can tell visitors that--or use the old "CIA" explanation, "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you." (I still have a rubber stamp that says BURN BEFORE READING.) Maybe some day a tower could elevate you above the smoke and din (and subject you to Rob's sharpshooters).
