Subject: Kennesaw Mtn & Brushy Sig Sta Thoughts

Chip,

Tnx, as always, for your input. The Kennasaw info is noted.

I recall speaking to someone who is the Brushy Church historian some time past (& prior to a computer crash) who said that the former church building was partially torn down to make a signal platform for the Federal flag station at that location. He didn't mention it being used by the Confederates though as a poinbt of communications. The newer church building now stands on the other side of the highway, and, if I'm not mistaken, some of the wood used to build the signal platform station, from the older church structure, was retreived and incorporated into the newer structure. I don't recall if the Brushy church historian knew if there was an image of the pre-war church.

Sounds like a side day-trip to me. What about Ranger Willie? Is he game?
