Thanks for bringing that (back) up.

I dont think we can EVER emulate standing there taking direct enemy fire while waving a message so we shouldn't use battle flags.

Now - that's for us 'field guys' (people to do Signal Corps impressions on the field).

The "First Person Impressionists" who want to portrey a certain character from history (and not go on the field) should be permitted to have "historically accurate" flags. I.E. If the person they are portreying had a battle flag - then if they did NOT it would detract from their portreyal. However - those flags should NEVER show up on the field in my opinion.

Let's HONOR those that went before us............
