Subject: David Homer Bates Presentation To--day

Message Detail:
Don Markle of Gettysburg will be giving a lecture surrounding the work commonly known as the war-time diary of United States Military Telegraph (USMT) War Dept. "WD" cipher operator David Homer Bates at 12 pm to-day at the Baltimore Civil War Museum, located within the President Street Station near Baltimore's inner harbour.

The talk is being conducted in association with a booksigning for the Bates' diary/memoirs for which Don was asked to edit.

Living history interpretors of SCARD and the Morse Telegraph Club (MTC) will be on hand with reproduction equipments as field operators and linemen.

In addition to the days activities, Mores Telegraph Club International President Lavina Shaw will bestow the the 'President's Award' on MTC's Washington/Baltimore chapter as the most active entity within the organization.

Gotta run... The baggage waggon needs packing. Hummmm... Now were did I put that frock coat?
