Subject: David Homer Bates Presentation To--day
Don Markle of Gettysburg will be giving a lecture surrounding the work commonly known as the war-time diary of United States Military Telegraph (USMT) War Dept. "WD" cipher operator David Homer Bates at 12 pm to-day at the Baltimore Civil War Museum, located within the President Street Station near Baltimore's inner harbour.|
The talk is being conducted in association with a booksigning for the Bates' diary/memoirs for which Don was asked to edit.
In addition to the days activities, Mores Telegraph Club International President Lavina Shaw will bestow the the 'President's Award' on MTC's Washington/Baltimore chapter as the most active entity within the organization.
Gotta run... The baggage waggon needs packing. Hummmm... Now were did I put that frock coat?
