Hi John
Thank so much for the quick reply. I did try google books but could find no mention of pensions or muster lists. In my old age I find a civil war craving that makes me sad not to have started years ago. I would like to join the Sons of the Vets. My only family line In the country at that time is through my mother. She is a Ranco from Indian island at Old town Me. If any relative joined the
war effort using his Ranco or Rancourt last name or some alias has been my unsussesfullsearch effort.would any other members be Pebnobscot that you know off?
Richard
