Subject: Charles H Robinson, K'bunk

Message Detail:
In the 1883 "List of Pensioners" for both the US Civil War and the War of 1812, a Miriam Robinson, living in York at the time, is listed as a pensioned Mother.

I do not have any local Robinsons in my list of Veterans associated with the Town of York. I suspect she may have been the Mother of Charles H Robinson, a volunteer from Kennebunk and a member of the 1st DC / 1st Maine Cavalry.
He died of disease at City Point in September, 1864.

Can someone (John Haseltine?) confirm that Miriam was indeed his Mother and that she was living in York in 1883?

Thank you
Alex
