Dear Mary,

No - no relation as far as I can tell. There are at least two distinct tribes of Beans in Maine - maybe more. The Bean Genealogy, at present, is the largest in print - that is the problem. It is only available in print and there is a huge, expensive volume - in successive editions - for each branch. I belong to the earliest branch - centered, originally in Exeter, NH and Bethel, Maine. I just have the volume for my branch - which I amend with a pen instead of buying new editions. I wish they would convert it to database or give it to LDS - but they are making too much money selling these things at the Highland Games. if your library has them - they are easy to see - a whole series of books in bright red - each several hundred pages long.

Good luck!

Wayne
