My g-g-grandfather is William Woodcock who was born September 19, 1836 in Chester, England. He was married to Margaret Oxton on March 1, 1860 in St. John's Church in Chester. In 1869, they went to the USA and settled in New Haven, CT. They both died in 1912 in Hamden, CT, just outside of New Haven. William's father was Samuel Woodcock, who was a tailor, I believe, in Chester. I have no info on his parents, or of any other children.

Does this family ring a bell??

I didn't realize there were so many other Woodcocks, especially Jennifers. This site is very interesting. I am 20 years old and am interested in hearing from others. My great grandfathers name was Milton Woodcock
